Acai Palm trees have delicate thin stems and reach a height of 25, sometimes 30 meters. Grow in large clusters (4 to 25 trees in one place), while in each cluster are trees of different ages – when the old stems die off, their places are taken by the young shoots. When I was taking classes to be an architect, part of the training that we took was in construction and other building things. I was surprised that there were so many house building materials were made from dangerous minerals and other things, like asbestos. When we had our lecture on asbestos identify, I was stunned at all the things that contain asbestos, siding, insulation, shingles, vinyl, even bricks. It was nearly impossible to build a house without filling it full of asbestos! Even the caulking used to hold things together has asbestos in it. I was only slightly relieved to find out that that it wouldn’t cause damage unless it was bothered.
