Cheap Car Insurance For Young Drivers — less than 25? pay less By Keeping up Good Grades

September 29th, 2009

This is important if you want cheap car insurance for young drivers: We all know that hardly any other age range pays as much for auto insurance as the under-25 age group. But for those who fall within this age group, having good grades at school will go a long way to help you get more affordable rates. It’s known as the good student discount.

You need to have a grade point of not less than B to have a good student discount. This will slash off as much as 5 percent from your rate if you qualify. This discount is given because insurance providers think there is a correlation between good grades and a young person’s composure behind wheels. Students with excellent grades are usually seen as more responsible and less prone to reckless driving.
