Should You Buy Your Teen Their First Car?
April 19th, 2009
Parents everywhere live in fear of their child’s 16th birthday. At that point they can get their driver’s license and start endangering the lives of the public at large. That’s a pretty scary thing to a parent. Worse, your kid wants you to buy them a car. Sure, they’d love to show you a Camaro for sale that they found, but can you really buy them a sports car as their first car? It’s a dangerous idea. Most parents would do well to buy their kid a nice, cheap car that is safe and low-maintainence. That way they are safe and it won’t put you in the poor house.
