What Color Backlight To You Like?

Have you ever noticed the backlighting in the instrument clusters of different cars? They all tend to have different colors and shades of colors that are used to light the instrument’s gauges. Some have a yellowish look, while others are more of a white. Some have an orange color to them and others have a blue color to them. While prefer some over others, I have wondered if there was any specific purpose behind the variance in instrument clusters backlighting. I have looked for a reason and have not yet come up with anything substantial. Aside from a person’s personal opinion that one color is “cooler” than another, I do not see any scientific reason for it.
