Accuracy That Each City Needs

I have recently been employed by my local water treatment plant.  I am currently learning all the ins and outs of the business.  I am surprised by most of the things that I am learning, such as, the flowmeters.  I had no idea that each city has several of them that track rainfall, water collected in Storm drains, daily water used, and much more that I have yet to learn.  These meters allow the personal to constantly keep a close eye on the water.  Without these the water could potentially cause mayhem throughout the city.  This is why they are made to be very reliable and accurate.
