Are Designer Sunglasses Really Worth the Money?

I have always just bought the cheapest sunglasses I could find that had UV protection, but lately I have been thinking of spending the extra money for some designer ones. Can anyone tell me whether or not the designer sunglasses are really worth the extra money? I really love how some of them look, but I don’t tend to be able to keep sunglasses for very long since I am a bit of a klutz. I am not sure whether these would hold up to the beating I would give them long enough to make up for the extra money I would have to spend for them.
