Commercial Mortgage Lenders Will Recover
January 11th, 2010
The commercial property sector has been in a slow motion collapse for a year-and-a-half now. Plunging property values, driven by the business slow-down, have melted big amounts of equity that had existed previous to the recession. Now, though the buildings do have an inherent, underlying worth, a massive proportion of commercial finance purchased in ’05,’06 and ’07 are almost meaningless to the investors who acquired them. The new loan applications they are going to receive will be supported by healthy down payments and reasonable purchase costs and they’ll be backed by flourishing company people with inspiring wherewithal.
