Do You Need to Network if You Start Your Own Business?

May 22nd, 2009

Many people think that they can do everything themselves without having to network. If you start your own business, however, it is wise to connect with other business owners in your area as well as potential customers.

Anyone in any business should network if you think that having referrals is a good thing. Lawyers, accountants, teachers, nonprofit workers, financial advisors, cleaning ladies, carpet installers, etc, all need to network so that they can remain in the limelight and get more exposure.

The more exposure they have, the more people know about them and the more calls they are going to get when people need services that they offer.
