Fixing My Septic Tank While I Still Can

I had a company come out yesterday to clean my septic tank. This is required by my county every five years and it was time to do it. While here, the technician cleaning my tank noticed a problem with my grinder pump. He says we will need one in the near future and that it must be a top priority. I asked why and he said our county is preparing to pass a law that states you can no longer repair septic tanks. Home owners will be required to hook up to sewer. The cost of this is around $30,000 so I’m having him come back out tomorrow to put in a zoeller grinder pump. I like my septic tank as it saves me money and I am not getting rid of it.
