History of Bankruptcy FAQ
March 14th, 2009
Sometimes it is good to know the history of bankruptcy and you can find the information in a bankruptcy FAQ. Back in the days of ancient Greece, bankruptcy was never heard of and people did not use to have the options they have today.
If you could not pay your creditors such as landlords, then the debt fell on your family and they were responsible for your debts. They would be put into “debt slavery” to the creditor.
That means, they had to work hard until such time as the debt was paid. By working hard, they could pay off the family’s debt a bit at a time.
