Small companies

July 3rd, 2009

When thinking of the best place to further your finance career in Ireland I had always thought that you would need to go to one of the big accountancy firms. I spent a number of years working for these types of company and if you work hard you really can reap the rewards. However when a number of cut backs were announced I decided to take voluntary redundancy and try my hand at accountancy in a different environment. After speaking to a recruitment agency in Dublin I was given the idea of using my finance skills in smaller organisations where often you can see a more direct benefit of your work. Whilst I did enjoy working for the big companies, I love the change of the pace and environment that my new job offers.
