Steady Mortgage Refinance Rates for a Change

February 28th, 2010

Starting way back in the beginning of 2008, mortgage refinance rates seemed like they were on a roller coaster ride.  They could change dramatically, sometimes up to one-quarter point in one day.  Not only that, but mortgage refinance rates were changing significantly on an intra-day basis, at times up to four interest rate changes per day for most mortgage lenders.  This type of rapidly changing mortgage refinance rates movement continued from the beginning of 2008 on through to the fall of 2009.  US government intervention seemed to help mortgage refinance rates to remain in a much more narrow range.  It’s good to report that for the past couple of months, mortgage refinance rates have remained in a rather tight and steady range for a change.
