Where Can I Learn More About Regional Internet Marketing?

I am trying to find some new ways to bring in business to my restaurant. Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about regional internet marketing? I am hoping I will be able to find some way to use this type of marketing to increase business. I haven’t really done much using the internet in the past, though I do have a simple website up that people can go to in order to check our hours and see the menu before they come. Someone suggested I try advertising a bit more on the internet, so I am trying to see whether or not this would be worth the money.
