The omentum

March 31st, 2010

The mesenteric part of the small intestine is covered in front for some distance by the omentum (a serious fold of the peritoneum descending from the greater curvature of the stomach) and is as if framed by the transverse colon above and the ascending and descending parts of the colon on the sides; below, the loops of the intestine may descend into the true pelvis; some of the loops are sometimes located in front of the colon. In approximately 2 per cent of cases, and appendage, ICD 10 Coding is very useful service as it will help in the collections and also for the amount that is pending from the payers and patients
