Finding Information about Probiotics

June 11th, 2009

It’s fairly easy to find what little probiotic information there is.  The wikipedia and the NIH (National Institute of Health) both have pages devoted to summing up most of the major issues that have to do with probiotics.  As far as looking to an alternative medical practitioner, they are likely to be more knowledgeable about the actual use of probiotics than a traditional western medical doctor. This is because probiotics are classified as a food additive and are available over the counter.  A local health food market is likely to have plenty of information.  Of course there are also numerous books on the subject which you can find at your local library.
