Teeth Whitening Works Wonders
May 28th, 2009
Years of clinical evidence shows that teeth whitening works. Almost everyone who uses a tooth whitening method will notice a brighter smile. However, tooth whitening is not permanent. Over time, teeth will pick up stains again, and “touch up” treatments will be necessary. By the time we reach adulthood, the protective layer of enamel on our teeth gradually wears down, allowing the under-layer of yellowish dentin. Millions of microscopic cracks in the enamel fill up with tiny particles of debris, causing the smile to dull. Tooth whitening gets down into the stains, oxidizing them so they can be brushed and rinsed away.
