Ceiling Fan Designs Determine Efficient Airflow

February 19th, 2012

Steel ceiling fans are built for durability, but these are usually meant for indoor use. Steel blades are also lighter than tempered plastics, so the installation is more stable. You shouldn’t base your purchase on the fan’s speed, though. Cheap fans will eventually wobble because the blades aren’t properly pitched on the base. The design of the blades also enhances the airflow; if the blades aren’t pitched properly, then the strength of the motor won’t do much to improve the air circulation. Price is usually a good standard for assessing quality, so it’s best if you invest in ceiling fans from reliable manufacturers. It’ll save you the troubles and costs of repairs and replacements.
