Affordable Homeowners Insurance: It’s Really Unnecessary To Insure The Land

August 27th, 2009

Are you really keen on getting affordable homeowners insurance? Make sure you do NOT fail to subtract the land’s worth from the home’s value while applying for a home insurance policy. People who ignorantly do this pay for more insurance than would do them any good. You’ve made the same mistake if you insured your house for the price you purchased it without checking the cost of the land it is built on and deducting it.

If you did such ignorantly, you’ll have to review your home insurance coverage and check it again with your agent. Deduct the land’s value and you’ll realize that you’ll need far less coverage. Doing this will lower your premiums by a huge margin and still leave with enough home insurance coverage. Always remember that insuring the land your house is standing on is plain waste of money because it does NOT give you any added advantage.
