Gourmet Food Is Great, But So Are the Basic Foods

I won’t deny that there is something to be said for high quality foods, bought from gourmet kitchen stores, but there is also a lot to be said for what I would term the more basic foods in life. When the weather starts to turn warmer and we know summer has arrived the best thing as far as I’m concerned are salads. And while I do like some tuna, or cold meat or chicken with it, the fresh taste of salad is unbeatable. I can’t resist cucumber, small boiled potatoes, beetroot, and spring onions. Add some slices of hard boiled egg and I’m perfectly satisfied.
