I’ve never baked chicken on my own

My parents cooked baked chicken all of the time when I was a kid. It’s strange, then, that I have never made it myself. The first apartment I had to myself (not counting the basement place that flooded within weeks of my moving in) did not have a working oven. Oh, there was something that resembled an oven, but I was completely afraid to use it. By the time I had a place with a decent kitchen I had all but become a vegetarian in the home. The few times I have cooked chicken have all been with a crock pot.
