Pet Iguana Basics

My son wanted a lizard for a pet and we were exited when started researching pet iguanas. I was surprised to find out these cute little critters grow to 15 lbs and can reach four to six feet in length. We also found they can live up to 15 years, so, it might be time to renovate to make space.Iguanas are from Central America, South America and Mexico so they love the heat. There are a lot of iguanas in Florida due to people purchasing them and either loosing them or letting them into the wild.  If  you provide your iguana with the proper food and habitat, it can make a really neat pet.
