Pros and Cons of Annuity Selling

There are of course, arguments for and against whether you should sell an annuity payment schedule. There is always the safety in repetitive payments, assuring that you will always have some monthly money to live on, but this may not always be practical. In many cases where an annuity has been awarded, there are more extreme needs including large medical bills, debt incurred from lost income, or payments that are behind due to illness. Sometimes selling some payments to take care of immediate larger needs is the most prudent. Although it is always risky to give up payments, avoiding huge payments with an large amount of interest.
