Shimano Calcutta are the first reels with a brain!

Have you ever seen a reel with a small computer in it? We have just discovered it. This amazing Shimano Calcutta Reels can be switched on Automatic and catch the fish without you! Is it possible? You bet it is!
The reel is producing energy for itself through a digital circuit during the casting. The energy is stored and used afterwards, when the new Shimano Calcutta uses its “brain” to function properly. It disposes of brakes that will instantly trigger themselves to avoid backlash.
The Shimano Calcutta system doesn’t require batteries and has 8 different presets. You can choose any program, where applicable, based on baits, potential load weight, cast control and, of course, terms of weather and wind. You’re the master, as always!
