The link said ‘click her for LED’s

I was on the internet trying to browse through some stuff when I saw a very attractive pop-up, which said click here for LED’s. I was a bit amused, since my curiosity grew, and wanted to know, what these lights are all about, how they manufacture and what materials they used to produce. Because while I was at school all I knew about LED lights was their abbreviation that stood for Light Emitting Diodes and that, these were more efficient than our normal bulbs and tubes. This made me click on the link and it took me to a website, which gave all the information about these lights.
