Controlled Boats Make A Great Hobby

I was at the hobby shop the other day and something new caught my eye. I saw a shelf with controlled boats, and took some time to check them out. The owner of the shop came over and told me a bit about them, and the different types of controlled boats.I had no idea that there were so many! There are electric controlled boats, ones that run on gas or nitro, and there are even sailboats! These boats are not toys, either. For one thing…they can run up to speeds over 35 mph! Don’t try that in your bathtub!The shop owner told me about a group that runs their boats down at the lake on Saturdays…I think I’ll make a point of going down this weekend to see these controlled boats in action. I expect it to be quite entertaining. Maybe I can even talk someone into letting me try my hand at the controls.In the meantime, I’ll have to think of a way to make my wife think it’s a good idea for me to have one of these boats for myself…that may be the hardest thing about this hobby!!
