How does the Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition work?

The Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 Tournament Edition has a very simple mechanism. This amazing device can be used by a complete novice. There no rocket science in understanding the functionality of this particular rangefinder.
All you have to do is look through the Pinseeker and aim the target with the LCD crosshairs. The target could be anything from a tree to a bunker or a flag. The device once switched on sends an eye-safe infrared pulse which is invisible. The range is calculated by measuring the amount of time the pulse takes to reach the target and bounce back.
The calculation is done by using simple mathematics by using speed of light as constant. But you don’t have to go deep into the math behind the rangefinder. All you need to do is click the button and the distance is displayed on the screen.
