Playing Princess

March 8th, 2009

As a little girl I always loved pretending that I was a princess living in a big castle. My mother’s jewelry helped make this dream a little closer to reality. I would pile my mothers jewelry and makeup on and would await my prince charming. Sometimes I would find her high heels and put them on with socks stuffed in the tips so they would fit a little better and strut around in a big home made dress that had been made just for me to play in. My mother’s jewelry never got lost or broken that I can remember because I was always so careful with it. I remember always taking my time to put it on and take it back off. Memories lie in my mother’s jewelry for me and each time I see the pieces I used to wear it immediately makes me so happy.
