Sky lanterns stun crowds

This year at Elton John’s party in  the 02 arena the crowd were stunned into silence when 600 sky lanterns were released.  It looked like a massive floating fireball, and reminded everyone of the olympic opening ceremony that took place in China.  That in itself was an amazing spectacle that stunned people worldwide.  Elton John’s party was a typically a-list affair, with lots of celebrities who all let off sky lanterns themselves. It was pretty intense, and some of the crowd started crying when he sung ‘like a candle in the wind’ and sky lanterns were released. it really was breathtaking.
