Remember When a Phone Book Was Just For Numbers?

May 31st, 2009

Recently I realized that, over time, my phones book have grown from a list of names and numbers into an encyclopedia.  At least the huge volumes which are delivered each year look and feel like that.  They now contain merchant coupons, maps, and information about local tourist attractions, among other things.  Not long ago I was struggling through and trying to figure out who was where, when I finally gave up and began using Phone book directory information online.  Of course the books which are delivered to my house don’t go to waste.  They make perfect booster seats for my young grandchildren.
