I Took a CNA Program so I Could Work as a Nurse’s Aid

September 22nd, 2009

I have always wanted a job as a nurse’s aid.  I worked in a nursing home for a long time in the cafeteria, helping feed those who were too disabled to feed themselves.  Finally my facility offered a CNA program and I signed up for it.  They paid me to take a course for three weeks and then paid for me to take my test.  I passed and now I get to be a nursing assistant.  I take the patient’s vital signs, help to bathe them and help nurses dole out treatments.  I totally enjoy my work and cannot wait to go to work each day.
