Curious About How to Watch Sports Online

I am a huge sports fan. I love watching just about any sports game that is on TV. I recently heard that I could have access to even more sports games than my cable provider airs. I am curious about how to watch sports online. There are often teams and games that I would like to see but they are not carried by my cable company so I am stuck just checking the scores in the morning. However, if I could actually watch them that would be even better. I am going to see if I can learn more about this online.
