Piracy and Pornography… Now We Really Have to Worry

Being a mom, it really annoys me to learn from the news about more pirated DVD’s being manufactured. I mean, how many times do these people or people like them have to get caught before they completely stop their operation? They are stealing from the copyright owners. They know it, but they still do it. What’s making me more mad is that most of these pirated DVD’s contain pornography. I always shop with my kids with me. I rarely go alone for shopping. And you couldn’t avoid seeing at least one vendor of pirated DVD’s on the streets. So tell me what kind of mom would not be pissed off when she and her children pass by a sidewalk vendor peddling pirated, pornographic DVD? This has been an ongoing issue but it seems that no one is doing anything about it.
That’s why I rent dvds online, so that my kids would not have to see these kinds of DVD’s being sold. At least, I can browse through the movies anytime I want.
