On July 1, Ottawa is going to celebrate Canada Day once more. This event has been celebrated in Ottawa annually since Canada gained its independence from the British Empire. Since Canada Day is still a few weeks away from now, this leaves you enough time to make a list of things to do in Ottawa. A yearly event held in the midst of Canada Day is the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival. This year, it’s going to take place between June 23 and July 3. On Canada Day itself, admission to the TD Ottawa Jazz Festival will be free. If you’d like to listen to the beats of jazz without taking your wallet out, better head to the Confederation Park on July 1.
